Pros

Brokerage presence in many markets through acquisitions of best in class firms over the years.

Cons

Since becoming publicly traded they have become less entrepreneurial, and very bottom line focused. Shrinking expenses to fit revenue and terminating less profitable clients to bolster net income. This is a short sighted solution, in a relationship based industry.

Pros

Colliers is a "yes" place - if I had an idea for a way to make things better or wanted to learn a new skill, I was always encouraged to do my best work. Great interaction and feedback from management and corporate marketing teams. It always felt good to know the direction the entire company was headed.

Cons

Limited opportunities for growth while working in brokerage and sales, the position is one where you would need to make a lateral move before climbing the ladder.
