Pros
Amazing student body and coworkers that went above and beyond to ensure that the students were taken care of during their time at the institution. There were plenty of ways to be involved on campus through committees, events, and opportunities to work with the students.
Cons
Not many in terms of students and coworkers. As many people were not pleased, there was issues in how COVID was handled amongst the departments and the institution. Often there were times were workloads were not shared equally as other departments were lacking and in turn, your team had to pick up the slack. In addition, many employees were forced to be on the front lines of working with students during these times without reinforcement of safety protocols. Staff had to often innovate their own ways of remaining safe and forced to work with students without safety protocols being enforced by the institution. I am unsure if it got better towards the end or if we as employees became desensitized. In addition, as many people felt disappointed by the leadership team and that has been reflected in remarks made by the president and in the recent lawsuits by members of the community.
