Depending on the campus, you really feel like your team is family. Great benefits and raises.

Cons

Not enough staffing in some areas, so burn-out is easy. It's hard to move up. Job cuts.

Work/life balance within the department is great (being able to take sick days and care for family etc); diverse population of students and support from direct management

Cons

No option for remote; often understaffed/threat of losing positions - counselors here make 20k less than at Dallas College; insurance is ok-need referrals for every provider- core values are not always reflected in decision making like valuing diverse students/employees
