Recruitment is a scam

Pros

Good compensation if you are a salesman at heart

Cons

They recruit under the guise of management positions, then stick you in a sales position with no intention of actually training you or getting you to the position they supposedly hired you for

Pros

The job was kind of near my home so I did not need to drive far. A few of the coworkers were ok.

Cons

100% commission and they actually prevent you from making your money. They do this because they are unbelievably unorganized and unfocused. Also management is unbelievably unprofessional and make very costly mistakes because I feel they are very uneducated and lazy.

Pros

Genuinely believe everyone I've met here is nice and invested in my success.

Cons

I'm posting this review on October 13. I agreed to start working at Colonial in July. Despite spending hours to pass a license test to sell Life, Health, and Annuities in my state, driving to the state capital on my own time/money for training, and spending weeks doing field work and making calls, I've so far made $0 from Colonial. You don't make any money until employees are enrolled in benefits, meaning you can do everything right and find a receptive company on Day 1 but you're still screwed if they want to wait to do enrollment. My supervisors tell me how conscientious they are of trying to 'get me to money' quickly, but it's absurd that they have to be.
