Repetitive everyday. No opportunities for cross training. Once you are put in an area, that’s where you’ll be for the duration. So if you’re in picking, picking will be what you do. I’ve been in the same area for 6 months and never got to learn other tasks within the warehouse. No wonder some employees develop carpel tunnel and back pain because they do the same task for 5-6 hours or more.
Sent home early and temporarily laid off a lot! This is one really irked me the most: I don’t know if I was hired at the wrong time, but when I interviewed I wanted full-time hours 8-4 pm. The times are inconsistent. There are days where you’re sent home early; one day you could be working 8am-3pm, next day you could be working 8-1pm, and the following week a supervisor will tell you due to lack of work not to come in for the next 2 weeks…. I guess if you’re looking for part-time work, this is a great opportunity for you.
Before clocking out, you have to find a supervisor to sign off on your time sheet
Inexperienced supervisors that are hired on previously as interns . The supervisor never communicated with me or gave me any feedback. Weekly TEPE performance evaluation are given to you however it doesn't mean a thing because you receive the same score each time.
Short two 15 minute breaks. You're lucky if you get a second break and it depends on favoritism...Some employees take advantage of breaks and go over there 15 minute break. Sometimes supervisors will tell you at the beginning of the shift to take a break, several hours later they'll tell you no breaks....
Facility is not climate controlled. I worked during the summers and phew was it hot and sticky!! Even got mosquito bites randomly.
