Was used by management to fill in when they needed something from me, but then watched others be promoted over me because a member of management like them better. Supervisors would comment how much they hated the company, yet we were supposed to follow them. The gossip mill was a way overactive. Negativity runs rampant. Favorites of management would decide they didn't like someone and create as many problems as possible for the person they didn't like. When I had worked at the call center I had said one of the things I liked most about Swiss Colony was the people...but at the fulfillment center it was the thing I liked least. Supervisors and management were fond of saying anytime you had that many women working together this was the situation you go. Well, they are wrong. In my current position we have nearly the same number of women working in a smaller area, and there is none of what went on at Swiss Colony. The problem is the people, not the gender of the people.
