Cons
CSC has trouble retaining said people. Your experience will vary greatly from team to team, but expect a fair amount of inter-departmental infighting, politics, and finger-pointing when the chips are down. This alone would be manageable, but eComm Creative is a stifling department headed by a director who's been hiding behind the remote veil to, quite simply, not do his job and collect a paycheck while doing it. Think: weeks-long disappearances followed by 11pm tirades when he feels he's been kept out of the loop. Will take your workload and triple it at random intervals, then personally demean you for missing deadlines or their personal ever-invisible goalposts. All while speaking to the team in a vulgar and unprofessional manner. Despite this bottleneck and salary suck, the rest of the team is strong, passionate, hard-working, and deserves a leader who takes an active role in championing solid creative.
