      Pros

      Its a good place to work, the benefits are great, and they are willing to help out or work with an individual because they understand retaining good talent is better then continuously cycling in new talent.

      Cons

      First and Foremost the State of Illinois, then other little factors would be there is a lot of work that needs to be completed with a shortage of bodies. Also within the company there can be Silos of individuals or groups that lack proper communication with other sections of the company.

      Pros

      Excellent pay, benefits and huge ability to grow beyond department whether it be to stay union or go to the management side. Grass is pretty green on either side. By far, the best benefits and pay I have ever recieved. Peace of mind knowing you will get raises and you work in a stable company is priceless.

      Cons

      Work / Family balance can be difficult. Long hours potential. Once full time be prepared for a lot of outside help with small children (nanny). Mandatory OT is very common.
