Pros

For voluntary benefits provider this company invests in their employee, yes that's EMPLOYEE as you are NOT 1099 with Combined. They have paid training and actually carry an employee benefit program for their sales people. They also have a descent product line up and are competitive.

Cons

Management does NOT listen to the field! They do not care to know input as to what could make things better with the company - sad. They also have antiquated systems which seems to put added obstacles in the way to putting the business on the books - which ultimately impacts your income since after the paid training you are pretty much commission only.

We are proud of the products we offer our customers, and we have been named to Ward’s Top 50 Life-Health List fifteen times. We appreciate all the experience you bring to your job every day, and we regret that you feel your ideas are not being heard. We are always striving to improve. Pros

You have the potential to make as much money as you want and most job necessities are supplied for you, they will hire anyone interested in the job who can pass a state licensing exam, very easy to take time off, paid weekly, lots of incentive programs, it can be very enjoyable and relaxed at times.

Cons

Management is always asking how you can improve every week and rarely satisfied if you are doing exceptionally well or improving, there is a lot of travel and work expenses, you typically work 40-70 hours a week with an unstable income while having to pay for work related expenses, CHARGEBACKS ARE REAL, I was charged back over 5000$ in a matter of two weeks, that means 1-2 months working for free (depending on your sales skills), very high turnover rate that managers will tell you about but never really take any additional action to fix this problem no matter how many times an employee expresses a concern, usually about compensation, company has "forgot" to pay me several earned bonuses and their websites/ agent support is usually down when you need it.
