Pros

I have great coworkers, I love working downtown, the building is in an excellent location, Commerce is active in the community, on-site security.

Cons

Management clearly plays favorites, training is abysmal, pay is crap, chances of being promoted from within are slim to none, management refuses to acknowledge employees, certain employees are worked to the bone while others are sitting at their desks playing games and watching videos on their phones because management refuses to give them more responsibility.

Friendly staff. Good training. Best benefits package I've had. My manager is very flexible and will work with my scheduling needs. Great life/work balance. Very stable company. Nice place.

Cons

Cautious approach that has served them well for 150 years, but might be less useful now. They are aware and are working toward change.

Managed by the Kemper family for five generations w/ roots back to 1865. Long standing conservative financial institution – solid leadership and customer focused. Opportunites available if you take the lead and put yourself out there.

Cons

Conservative approach serves us well, lasted 150 years so far – but need to continue to be open to new ideas, methods and technologies to take us into the future.
