Cons

The majority of executive and senior leadership are basically putting lipstick on a pig. The technology is old with band-aid fixes, legal and compliance rules all, and the amount of retail locations is absurd for 2019. This bank truly believes it is on par with the big banks in terms of technology and other services. They still sing about not taking bailout money during the recession, even though it was over a decade ago, which is probably their single greatest achievement. If you're a "Yes" man/woman and drink the ultra-conservative Commerce kool-aid, you can go far here. Otherwise, if you have ambitions stay away, you'll be the only salmon swimming upstream.

Competitive salary, generous PTO, flexible hours, great benefits (health, vision, dental, 401k, HSA, tuition reimbursement), and wonderful professional people to work with.

Cons

Overall, I think Commerce treats their employees well.
