      Pros

      Location was good, near home, able to set my own hours, immediate supervisor was a wonderful person (unlike almost every other manager in the organization); pretty decent health insurance coverage for 20 hrs/week

      Cons

      Grotesque bureaucracy, apparently not interested in patient outcomes, biased against non-Catholic employees, turf-wars and ethical violations much too common, poor management at every level, layoffs threatened or carried out multiple times per year, creating continuous fear and stress

      Tacoma is a nice place to live

      Franciscan has a toxic administrative culture with nearly universal dissatisfaction among affiliated physicians. In no way shape or form does it live up to catholic ideals.
