Great Place to Work

Pros

Commonwealth resources is a fantastic place to grow and establish yourself as a recruiter. The management team is second to none in terms of their ability and willingness to help out new or veteran recruiters break into the construction market. On top of that, the office environment is great. Everybody is extremely friendly, and wants each recruiter who comes in to succeed. From the candidate standpoint, the people we recruit are very down to earth, and great to talk to.

Cons

There aren't many negatives about working for Commonwealth Resources. However, I think every recruiter who steps into a position with CRI should know that you will predominantly be cold and warm calling potential candidates. Each recruiting firm or talent acquisition position handles the job in a different way. For those looking to come on-board at CRI, make sure you are comfortable talking on the phone as your primary form of communication. If you like talking on the phone, then this will definitely not be a con, but, rather, a huge plus.

Pros

- Culture - lots of recruiting agencies are CRAZY competitive and for a lack of better word "sneaky." Our teams are small so we all help each other out, a lot. There is none of the stuff you read about going on here.... no one listens in on your phone calls... you're not going to get fired if you have a lazy day and honestly... I never get hung up on. It's the construction industry so everyone I am talking to on the phone is pretty down to earth. - Managers- they are helpful, motivational, have fun personalities, and most importantly they are very good at their jobs.... which in recruiting is very important -Hour lunch break/ hours- I mean.. need I say more. I go to the gym most days and I LOVE IT. Everyone gets an hr at lunch and leaves at 5! No crazy hours here unless you want them. -Money: There is no cap on commission here...period... you work hard, you make money. I am 29 and making over 6 figures and I started here with NO experience (been here 3 years now.) I had a great mentor here, I am not scared of the phone and I'm self driven. -Location: its right by the orange, blue, green and red line, easy easy location

Cons

-Well... I am not a morning person so getting to work at 7:45am was challenging at first but I've gotten used to that now. - It's an open bull pen office which means everyone can hear you and you can hear them... all the time. So that one was a tough one for me to get over. And there are still days where I wish I had an office with a door I could close. On the other hand... this is very helpful in remaining in the know though.

Pros

Such a great work culture. Genuinly the best bosses I’ve ever had. You will make great money here!

Cons

If you don’t like cold calling, this isn’t the job for you, but no complaints about the company itself
