Pay, even as a single nurse has to work overtime just to make financial ends meet. Management, went through 7 managers in 4 years in mental health and had little support from them as a nurse. Health insurance was at a minimum and paid a lot out pocket.

Higher ups don't necessarily evaluate their raise structure... When you hire in an employee with no experience it is understandable to hire at a lower wage. But if they are a great employee and they stay and excel it should get recognized and fairly compensated. Raise structure is based entirely on a formula that comes from a grading scale... Not very personal and give management no way to reward good employees fairly. If i knew then what I know now I would have fought a lot harder for a fairer wage especially since they raised the minimum wage for the company and its now near my wage and I'm a skilled trained employee with multiple years in.
