Pay is very low on both statewide and national scales, which may be the reason for negligent practice techniques and "old school" mentalities. There is a lot of bad practice taking place at Howard. Emphasis is placed on patient satisfaction with little emphasis placed on quality of care. Bad behavior is rewarded if you're in the clique. Human Resources is a joke and the HR employees are very rude. More irrelevant mandatory meetings and training than any employer I have ever worked for.

Not many cons that I can think of, as I have worked at places that were horrible. There is typical drama and problems that may happen on the units, as you would experience at any job.
