Terrible pay compared to most hospitals in the area, management doesn't actually care about their employees and the hospital is constantly losing people due to burnout.

Please forgive if this gets posted twice as the screen and may have posted this wrongfully. At Community, I had some of the best coworkers a person could hope to find--good hearted, committed, intelligent, caring, honest, hard working, and highly professional. And some of the management was also among the best even if I cannot say the same for all of management.

Cons

I believe some of management including HR and the legal team and senior management are not above engaging on political assassinations, retaliation, and firing when employees report ethics issues. I was disciplined and fired for the first time in my life at age 58 after reporting what I felt was a serious ethics issue that needed to be addressed. An article in the local newspaper carried another story of someone who reported a heart surgeon who walked out in the middle of an open heart surgery and allegedly was fired and threatened with a law suit.

Some question whether management keep their word. Pay is low. Some believe they retaliate against employees who report issues such as fraud, patient safety and such.
