Pros

- People work really hard and there's an invigorating energy around making progress and outputting work we're proud of - There's a lot of flexibility in the types of projects one works on. There are opportunities to see real doctors use the products we build, hear their experiences with and without it, and chart out what you want to build to improve their workflow. - Lots of great mentorship here too! I've learned so much working here in engineering (frontend, backend, infra, etc), and also managing projects and customer deadlines/relationships. - Literally everyone I've worked with is extremely kind, genuine, smart and humble. - People work hard but they also take time off. Company values rest/recuperation (unlimited pto). Doesn't feel awkward to take time off. - Perks! Free lunch every day. Dinners provided if you're staying late. There are frequent social+cultural events (that are actually fun). Really cool speakers coming in to talk about tech, healthcare, various industries every couple weeks.

Cons

- Due to the immense need for growth in healthcare and the competition in this space, it is an intense place to work that values speed above all else (among many other tenets). This does mean you're not really working a 9-5 but honestly, I have not minded this at all bc the work feels very fulfilling and I love the people I work with too.

Pros

Commure is one of the fastest-moving companies I've seen — decisions are made quickly, and execution is impressively efficient. The company has experienced exponential growth over the past two years, expanding from just 20+ engineers in early 2023 to over 150 by the end of 2024. Operating in the healthcare space, Commure is tackling an industry that’s been largely untouched by modern technology for decades, offering massive opportunities for innovation and impact. It's an excellent environment for early-career professionals. If you're a recent grad eager to learn and grow, Commure provides the kind of fast-paced, hands-on experience that can accelerate your development.

Cons

The fast pace of decision-making can sometimes lead to shifting priorities, which may create friction or confusion within engineering teams. As the company rapidly scales, many early solutions that worked for the first 50 customers need to be revisited and re-architected to support broader growth — this can be both challenging and time-consuming. This isn’t a traditional 9-to-5 environment. The work can be intense and demanding, but for those who are invested, the opportunity to be part of the company’s rapid growth is incredibly rewarding.
