Pros

Really great technology and some good people work here.

Cons

Used to be fun, but no longer. Culture is dead. Confusion licensing and constant changes. Gradually becoming less and less relevant. Trying to reinvent themselves, but still has senior management in the dark ages.

Pros

Having previously worked for an IT company that always placed very high on the BRW Great Place to Work Rankings, I wasn't expecting to find an equally good culture at CommVault. Reflecting now on my first year at CommVault Australia, I am delighted to report on an incredibly strong, mature and inclusive culture within the business. That culture is fostered by an established local leadership team that is focused on maintaining a supportive and flexible work environment that genuinely lives by the corporate values and treats people as mature adults. I have really enjoyed my first year at the company and I wouldn't hesitate to wholeheartedly recommend CommVault to others. The company has just moved into a fantastic new office space which speaks volumes about its continuing investment in the region and the strength of the sales opportunity.

Cons

Some contraction in the growth currently but management seem to acknowledge the issues and are putting in plans to return the company to historical growth figures. Best product on the market but we have to execute better

Pros

- great product with great support - good vision at C-level, software being constantly developed and new modules added - dedicated admin & finance team, will stay late if necessary to push PO's through for you (not only at EoQ)

Cons

- pricing (software, maintenance, PS) strategy not fit for EMEA - you will be only a number - poorly hired lower level managers without the necessary understanding of the market and/or product, not really bringing much to the table apart from a whip - coaching? Being talked about but I haven't been coached once, it's not really happening. Easier to fire & hire - see point number 2 - career prospects? not really, your manager just cares about himself - see point number 2 - sales enablement? Early stage, not bringing much to the table at the moment. Some of the people I know were fired without the tools to do their job properly - too many directors with long tenure are set in their ways, unable to adapt/be flexible/add value anymore - poor channel strategy (EMEA) - HR are not on your side, wouldn't trust them
