Pros

Company's Remuneration structure has no/minimal Flexible Component, includes stocks options as default. Transport and Dinner facilities are provided by the Company. Each Geography has a dedicated Support Center which means, there are no rotations/shifts.

Cons

Commvault Systems India Pvt Ltd used to be an excellent workplace, offered good work life balance, valued Employees till the point where the wave to improve the existing process started - which were nothing but unresearched/unconsulted decissions made without their operational impacts analysed beforehand- Cost Cutting, No appraisals, long work hours to name a few, resulting in Employee dissatisfaction and overall discontentment which is since then prevalent today. Be aware, this is Enterprise Support for a Product Suite for which there is 'NO' training available/provided at all (With in and Outside Commvault) atleast in the India Office. People from non-technical backgrounds are being hired and expected to deliver excellence (which offcourse doesn't happen)....Result - Cold Blooded Managers and HR give you a choice and ask for either a voluntary resignation with immediate effect (with no reasons given) OR handover a Termination Letter on the spot. If you are married, have kids or financial commitments..stay away from this place, you never know which day would be your last day in the office. No process to promote Career Growth Path in your current role at all which in simple terms mean that you are 'stuck' in the same role in the company for your entire tenure. There is no Management Employee Interaction, Please complete the day to day work and be a brick in the wall - If that is what you wish to do... Welcome to Commvault!!! If you are talented, capable of thinking out of the box...... there are better people/companies to work with (It took me a while to figure this out)

Pros

Challenging job role, first hand look into some of the latest technologies, for example cloud computing, de-duplication, and a lot of proprietary technology which cannot be posted on a public forum.

Cons

The new management has started strangling the work environment making it very difficult to work with your full concentration and capacity. With the introduction of a global queue of support, unrealistic and irrelevant performance level comparisons with different GEO's are being made. Classic case of comparing apples to oranges. The engineers in US work in a direct support model as compared to the partner based structure in EMEA. The annual appraisal form does not contain the benchmarks against which the employees are being accessed; they are no longer accessed based on their experience level or their technical competency but based on the region they belong to, which community are they from etc. What matters most is whether you share the same surname with the senior management or are you a buddy of the manager, whether you used to work with him in your previous job. Knowledge transfer between different members of the team is no longer done. Trainers hired to conduct in-house training for the employees in order to keep pace with the upcoming technologies are in-competent and are hired only because they are pals of one of the senior managers. The trainers credentials are not even checked before hiring them. Before joining the organization, employees are promised 250 RSU's per engineer, and it is also mentioned in their offer letter. However, after a month, they are told that they will get only 50 RSU over a span of 4 years. This has happened with 5 different engineers in the India Development Center.

Pros

Overall CommVault Systems is a good place to work. You will learn a lot about current and important technologies in the marketplace. Also, for the tri-state area there are not a lot of companies in this market that offer this type of work environment. Management is understanding of personal life issues and are willing to work with employees in such scenarios to help the employee in their time of need. There's a laid back and casual environment to work in.

Cons

Internally there's not a great process for promotion and growth in your position.
