Incredibly collaborative environment, smart people, and strong leaders.

Cons

Focus on competition goes beyond learning and becomes demotivating for builders, some teams are understaffed chronically which creates team tension.

Pros

Compass is doing great while other businesses within the industry are crumbling. Compass presents a unique opportunity to its employees to fundamentally improve an antiquated industry that represents the largest asset class in the world. The technology bar is very low in real estate, so the opportunity is very real. If the opportunity to transform a legacy industry is interesting then this is a great company.

Cons

It's a high growth startup, so expect a lot of work, a lot of uncertainty, and a very demanding work environment, especially with thousands of customers and 2000+ employees. This isn't an environment for everyone as a result.
