My old company was taken over by Compassus two years ago. Soon my work load began to rise. Though not all at once. Within a year though it was about twice what it had been before the buyout.
Unrealistic corporate policies were implemented and forced on employees without consideration of how they'd impact their work/home life balance.
These expectations meant I was working harder than ever before - for the same pay! - but was still getting pushed to meet the ever rising demands made by corporate on their field staff.
As a field HH nurse Compassus has a "points" system where you are given points per category of visit. A simple visit that took twenty or thirty minutes got you one point. More complicated visits rose correspondingly, though not proportionally. A start of care that might take four hours total would only get two and a half points. In my case I was expected to get thirty! points in . only . three . days.
Realizing things weren't going to get better, only worse, I submitted my resignation. I then discovered Compassus had one more surprise in store for me: they'd quietly initiated a policy where you had to give them THIRTY days notice before leaving.
I can't put into words what a relief it is not to have to deal with their crap anymore.
