      Pros

      The company works hard to educate the leaders and assure they know the Values and Standards. The site leaders have the ability to respond to and plan serves in keeping with the local community. large enough to be stable and small enough to still allow some autonomy. Interest in work life balance.

      Cons

      Rapid growth makes for change which is a challenge but not always bad.

      Pros

      Training is great. Local people working for the company are great.

      Cons

      This is an extremely competitive industry as there are 15 or so companies that have been doing business here for 20+ years that dominate the local market because they have established reputations. Compassus has no reputation in the area with 50+ competitors. Company unwilling to spend ad dollars to assist in forming company awareness. Company does not provide time to allow employees to build networking relationships necessary to get a referral for a dying patient from doctors, hospitals, nursing homes. You must hit the ground running immediately and you will not be allowed to think outside the box.

      Middle Management works hard to meet the needs of the patients and their familis

      Cons

      upper management, folks from corporate have little experience or do not remember how or why they became hospice employees. Everything equates to a number, numbers although logical are not always reasonable.
