Computacenter US - understanding the company history
Pros
I have read some reviews on this site that give the impression that CC doesn't care about its people - this couldn't be further from the truth. Our business has existed in the US for more than 12 years however only recently (early 2016 onwards) have we employed the majority of our staff directly, prior to this date we worked closely with sub-contracted partners who provided staff to CC to deliver our customer commitments in the regions. Please therefore read any review which reflects on poor employee experience prior to this date in the context that CC had limited ability to influence the way people representing our brand were treated and looked after. I truly hope that since this date, our staff who work for us see a difference, the company expects people to work hard for sure but will do its best to provide a great working environment underpinned by a culture that puts customers and employees at the center of everything that we do. Moving forward as CC grows in the Americas, employee development, training, opportunities to follow structured career paths and to widen your horizons will only get better and better.
Cons
The US is a very large market both in client diversity and geography. The company is therefore to an extent limited in opportunity creation for our employees by the customer locations that we service or our own facility locations. For our employees, we therefore need to balance opportunity creation with staff flexibility - we might have a great new opportunity for you but you may need to alter your working pattern to take it on. Be ready to embrace change and great things can be achieved.
