Thanks for leaving a review. As we've addressed before, we definitely DO NOT have annual layoffs, and have (with proof) refuted this in the past. Yes, of course things happen from time to time where we need to adjust the business. A layoff is the last resort, and certainly not something anyone wants to be a part of on any side. We appreciate the comment about having people who want to manage being in those roles. We've developed a two-tier system that allows for people to move into a management track if they want to be people-managers, as well as an individual contributor track. We are in full agreement that not everyone's desire or growth path is that of a manager, hence why we developed this procedure. You mention nothing new to learn after 6 months, which can be hard to digest, considering we're in an industry that changes rapidly and can look vastly different every 6-12 months. We find that exciting!

Thanks for the feedback - we appreciate you taking the time. We're particularly proud of our ability to bring in employees fresh off their degree programs to give them an opportunity to begin and grow their careers. This has proven to be a great strategy for us for introducing new ideas and ways of doing things. We agree with you 100% about the ability for us to grow in the retention area. We have begun identifying training opportunities for employees to help keep them engaged and growing, as well as for managers to be sure they have the skills needed to be effective leaders. We're making some strides currently. We'd like to hear more about where you feel there is favoritism, as we'd like to be able to address this. Without naming names of course, we'd love for you to revise your review, so we can think about these critical opportunities.

Pros

Free snacks, nice office in Willis tower, big cubicles, decent hardware.

Cons

They don't pay well to senior developers. Sometimes they give new title just to keep employee. Frequent layoffs aka restructuring.

Thanks for your review, we appreciate it. We're really happy with the centric location of our office in Chicago, as it's really convenient for those coming from the NW Suburbs. We're working continually to give our senior developers opportunities for growth and expanding their reach. We do a yearly review of salary ranges in the market and find that we're very competitive in the regional market there. There are always ways for us to continue to be better, and hence our annual review of these ranges. Regarding layoffs: This year we did make some changes because of the Rentrak integration. While this is never something the company wants to do, we make adjustments that were best for the business going forward.
