Pros

flexible hours. coworkers are good people

Cons

They don't give raises to keep up with inflation. I'm getting poorer by the minute working here. Their healthcare benefits are a joke. They are not transparent about your job duties. Upper management will decide on a whim to change your job function often with more responsibility and ZERO compensation. They rave about how well the company is doing but the only people that get the benefits are ones at the top. In short they treat us like dirt. Everybody I know of that works here is looking for work outside the company.

Pros

Every year gets worse. At this point convenience is the only pro. If you've been with the company long enough, you can leverage yourself into nearly a completely remote job (work from home 3+ days per week).

Cons

Where to start...how about compensation and benefits? - Base salary below what other companies in the area offer - Non-existent bonuses - Non-existent stock awards (unless you're senior management or an executive) - Non-existent options (unless you're senior management or an executive) - You'll be lucky to get a 1% raise even with a stellar performance review - Rising medical / dental costs (say goodbye to that tiny raise you thought you were getting) - 401k match worse than what it was (tied to percentage of base salary, so only good if you're senior management or executive with fat salaries) - HSA match worse than what it was for individuals How about leadership? - Senior management and executives have no vision for the products we develop - Out of the loop technologically - Favor reinventing the wheel instead of using proven, existing technologies - Lack of expertise in the areas we pursue - Lack of communication about the state of the businesses and future direction - More willing to save a buck by "externalizing" more resources without considering the consequences to the underlying products How about company culture? - There is none. Employee morale is in the toilet (see reviews below, see HR-issued "employee morale survey's", etc) and it's only getting worse. No incentives to do well. When the company meets or exceeds expectations and starts performing better, the only beneficiaries are senior management and executives.

Pros

The staff are in general, good people. They work hard and are supportive to each other in a difficult environment. The people who make the company tick everyday are dedicated and turn out good quality work.

Cons

The management think old and act old. Most of the senior management are over retirement age and hold on to old ideas about employment and employees. They view of employees it is a disposable asset and have no time or interest to mentor or develop the team members. The senior management lacks basic training and the result is very low employee moral and worried employees trying to hold onto their jobs. They 'hire and fire' on a moments notice, often for very flimsy reasons. They use Florida's 'at will' employment law to aid in this process.
