Pros

Really great people and culture. Great emphasis on work life balance which I really appreciate. There have been some hard years, but that has very little to do with the business and more on the market. I believe we're in a much better place now.

Cons

4 days in office if you live in a commutable distance to NYC/Berlin unless you work in Engineering. A lot of people are bothered by this, but almost all managers are very lenient about WFH so it's not a strict requirement.

Pros

- Leadership is very aligned with one another, and the product/processes reflect that. - There is always strong will to improve on what's working and to test new things. - Very approachable and available C-Suite - There is a work culture that is so unique, natural, and well-intentioned. It feels like everyone is fully genuinely bought in. - Personal & professional development is encouraged.

Cons

- Everyone works very hard up to the leadership level, but sometimes that comes at the cost of bandwidth.

Pros

- Good middle management. I worked there for 3 years and knew almost no one who disliked their manager. - I was always paid on time.

Cons

- No work/life balance. Employees making $50k/year are expected to pull all-nighters on a regular basis. - The executive suite (senior leadership, C-level execs) is the worst I've ever seen. They seem to lack confidence in their own plans; company strategy changes wildly every 6-8 months. TONS of finished work gets thrown out because of this, which feels extremely demotivating. - The company is not stable; they've had at least six rounds of layoffs in the last two years. - Extremely limited room for advancement. Employees are expected to perform the work of someone 2-3 titles above their role for a year+ BEFORE being considered for a promotion or raise to match those responsibilities. When I and others raised this as a problem in town halls, we were told that this policy was in the employee handbook and it was not going to change.
