Pros

-Among a certain cohort Conductor has an unbelievable retention record with 6 to 10 year tenures not uncommon. If you love the culture, you can make a home here. -Big fish in a small pond - they're really one of 2 or 3 main competitors in the SEO space. -The founders are fundamentally good people and genuinely try to do the right thing.

Cons

-Promotions often happen within said cohort, so middle management has limited outside experience. This leads to severe blindspots and process issues that are quickly apparent to newcomers. -High turnover rates among stronger new hires, with tenure ranging from just 4 months to a max of 2 years for more experienced AE hires. -Poor structure for the training and internal promotions of employees. It's common to see MDRs be promoted and promptly fired for missing goals. Some might understand this as management setting them up for failure. -Sales org unable to structure their teams in a way that allows them to hit goals. Management seem to lack conviction in their strategy and change the sales model every 6 months or so. Not even a handful of reps or teams end up achieving their overall goals as a result.

No longer a great company

Pros

They have decent benefits and you get unlimited vacation. Some of the people are pretty cool to work with.

Cons

The company can't seem to decide whether it wants to focus on business or social justice. Almost every single meeting involves something about racism and how horrible people are. The company went from a great place to work, to one where negativity and division is growing by leaps and bounds. Company chat during company meetings is becoming a cess pit with constant negativity and division. Not to mention almost every Q&A now involves direct attacks and falsehoods, primarily targeted at the CEO and C-Suite, for failing to attend a meeting or failing to send an email within moments of something happening in the world. It really feels like a few people will scream and cry and the CEO will immediately feel bad and likely roll over for those select few employees. Good luck trying to do your job and avoid this though. You'll be blasted with emails and potentially meetings where you need to be told about how horrible everything is. The increase in negativity and focus on news has coincided with the company bleeding people. Some of the best team members who were long term employees (3+ years) are fleeing. It's now a rotating door and the company can barely keep up with the amount of people leaving. We're told everything is fine and it's actually a good thing that people leave, but no one believe you. Other reviews have mentioned this, but many people are underpaid for what they actually do. HR claims it's working on a plan to address this, but I half expect multiple salaries to be slashed because only titles will get looked it. You'll get burned out and you won't even get paid what your worth. Plus, no plans as of yet to address how they completely skipped a year of raises (while also punting prospects because people cried).

Pros

Great benefits Used to be very people-first and maybe will return to that one day Unlimited PTO Some people still really care quite a bit

Cons

Leadership seems very slow to acknowledge that people are leaving this company in droves right now, or they just don't care. Employees are frustrated, under compensated, tired, and just losing hope that leadership knows what they are doing. Conductor was an amazing place to work a few years ago, we're not sure what happened, but this does kind of feel like a sinking ship. I recently left, but current employees are all having private discussions about this right now. It's unfortunate because I still think Conductor is a great place to work, but if they don't start acknowledging these issues like right now, I'm not sure they'll even have enough employees to satisfy customers in a very short time.
