We are fortunate to be powered by incredible talent. As we grow the Connection family, we improve our onboarding process and deploy strategies to mitigate the associated bumps. The excitement of a new addition can lend to some lofty expectations as you state. When that addition arrives, realistic expectations are outlined and employees are armed with tools, support and encouragement allow them to provide innovative IT solutions, expert guidance and exceptional service to our customers. In addition to providing a robust compensation package, investing in our employees contributes to a great atmosphere. Thank you for your favorable review.

Pros

Weekly Paycheck(even though it does not pay the bills)

Cons

5 Billion/yr Company, Yet starting pay for most is close to what you earn at a fast food job. Within this year we have lost several highly certified techs to jobs for more money, and they do not even try to correct the issues. This is leaving shifts to be under staffed and over worked for most of the year. Several people are taking on more roles within their department with promise of promotion and raises, But the company never keeps its promise on this. We are told with get raises for every Comp TIA cert we get, but it can take months(up to 6months) to get that raise and then they do not always back pay you for the entire time. We have been told weekly that we all are replaceable at any moment.

In 2016, Connection reported $2.7 billion dollars in revenue by offering a solutions based approach focused on customer needs. Within hours of an order being placed, it can be picked, configured, packed and routed to our customers for next-day delivery. We could not fulfill those needs without our lab techs. Investing in you is paramount to our ability to servicing our customers. Our lab techs are afforded opportunities to hold premier certifications that allow Connection to offer highly sought solutions to our customers. Our compensation team surveys the competitive marketplace regionally and collaborates with the leadership team to design compensation packages that operate in tandem with our total reward strategy. In the Distribution Center, lab techs receive a weekly incentive based on achieving certain productivity, quality and safety standards. In addition to defining how to compensate employees competitively, our philosophy includes strategies to attract, retain and reward high-performing individuals. One of those strategies is motivating employees to perform to the best of their ability. The message of “you are replaceable” is not conducive to nurturing an environment of content, productive employees. You are encouraged to reach out to Human Resources to discuss your experience further. Regardless, we will review the matter further with management to ensure that staffing operations are feasible for the workload and reinforce the necessity of fostering a harmonious work environment.
