Fun people and environment in a very dynamic and challenging market

Pros

A fun group - they had a great sense of humor and an outstanding internal culture. Good benefits, outstanding free lunches, and operated on flex time. The IT support is great and their development hardware was awesome. CEO was extremely accessible and friendly.

Cons

The are actively working to decouple their future success from existing external dependencies - until that happens, they will forced into a reactionary mode too often.

Pros

Shopzilla offers very nice perks and is loaded with young, talented professionals. It is very easy to stay motivated when working in such a energy-packed and dynamic environment. You also get a lot of opportunities to learn new skills, if you want to. The executives at Shopzilla are very casual, easy to approach, and open to conversations with any employee at any level.

Cons

The pay rate for most employees is well below average. With regards to performance reviews, communications between management and employee is very poor. Being a brown-noser clearly helped a lot of people get ahead at Shopzilla, rather than superior performance or ability.
