Pros

Working at Shopzilla is what you make of it - there are always opportunities to grow for those who reach for it. We work hard and play hard for a high octane work-life balance. Shopzilla cares about your health and well being. Shopzilla cares that you have a family (pets too).

Cons

Fiefdoms exist, leading to factions and (sometimes) inefficient use of resources. Some teams are too lean.

Pros

The people are great with the exception of a couple. Really relaxed environment. The leadership isn't afraid to try new things. Game room is cool.

Cons

The company has gone through a lot of changes recently to evolve with the ever changing landscape that is eCommerce. This has also resulted in a lot of initiatives getting cut as well as people getting laid off. The company is in a flux period which can be great, but is also a little unsettling. It's a little more political than I would expect from a company of this size. Cubicles and offices. It seems like everyone who is a director or higher has their own office. Unfortunately, all the offices take up the exterior of the office space, so it becomes very dark and reliant on artificial lighting. I wish the office space was more open, and the offices were replaced with conference rooms or other public use rooms.

Pros

1. Leadership development training for all managers; 2. Smart, fun coworkers; 3. Innovation is encouraged; 4. Interesting work; 5. Flexible schedules

Cons

1. Leadership development training is ONLY offered to managers; 2. Training is very shoddy and documentation is either outdated or non-existent; 2. For a tech company, many processes and tools are very archaic; and lastly 3. While certainly not widespread, some employees in high-ranking roles are allowed (and even seemingly encouraged) to come in late, leave early, avoid responsibility, and basically do very little "work". This behavior sets a terrible example and causes bitterness and confusion for those involved.
