      Pros

      CED has a great learning environment for both new and old employees. They refer to their Management Trainee program as a real world MBA because of the scope and depth of training into different aspects of running a business. This program is a great opportunity.

      Cons

      CED is behind the times on the technological side. While this is done on purpose, it certainly slows some aspects of business.

      Pros

      The company culture is amazing and very nurturing for those who want to gain wisdom from veteran staff. The company is rife with mentors. The Manager Training Program was very thorough and the transition to management was smooth. This is the quickest way to build business acumen! The freedom given for those with entrepreneurial spirit is a must for anyone who doesn't want to be micro-managed in their career. There are many, many opportunities for growth, and the financial incentive to outperform your competition is highly lucrative. You control your destiny with this company! Highly recommended.

      Cons

      Some people who go through the training program have a difficult time staying for the full length of it (2-2 1/2 years). However, it is that length of time because there is so much to learn about the electrical industry and running a business.

      -Great Training program, similar to getting an MBA and getting paid while you do it. -Bottom up approach- each location makes independent decisions. Allows the local manager to make the best decision for the market. -Tons of opportunities - Run like a small business with the power of a large business (600 locations) - Profit Sharing

      Cons

      - some of the processes are lacking new technology, but upper management is making great progress to improve
