      The Branch Manager Makes the Difference

      Pros

      Very small business feel considering the size of the company. Interactions with management are very personal, and generally leave you feeling more like a person than a 'human resource'. Decent pay and benefits, very laid back industry in general.

      Cons

      The branch manager can make or break the entire experience. I haven't personally had a bad yet, but the autonomy given to the manager leaves employees in a precarious situation when there are changes. Also dealing with lighting vendors is a terrible experience.

      Pros

      Laid back culture with no one looking over your shoulder.

      Cons

      They make it out to be a B2B sales position with excellent training, while in reality it is merely a customer service job with minimal customer interaction and their training consists of jumping around from one position to the next for the first 9 months without any guidance.

      Pros

      Good benefits package overall. Many locations throughout the country make it somewhat easy to relocate if you want.

      Cons

      Compensation is built around profit sharing. You are paid very low throughout the year, with hopes of profit sharing making up for it. Management is afraid to progress business because it costs money (seen as less profit sharing). Blue collar, think inside the box mentality and culture.
