Beware Constellis culture, management

Pros

Colleagues are bright and come from interesting backgrounds; a lot of former military folks on staff means a lot of great stories. Free gym in the building. Many opportunities to interface with your peers (holiday parties, lunches, etc.). Plus, I met some really notable people during my tenure.

Cons

Where to begin? Management is atrocious, 60-hour work weeks are the norm, the turnover rate is unlike anything I've ever seen, and staff seems to be tense and nervous virtually every second of every day (namely when management is in the building). The culture at Constellis could be the subject of a psychological case study.

Pros

I enjoy working with my direct team, love knowing I'm helping our country and others stay safe. Benefits are pretty decent, location has cafeteria on property.

Cons

Unstructured, no one takes accountability, Management does not take proven advise well, communication between departments and management is a big hurdle. Nepotism (management plays favorites even if it does not align with the companies vision for success) very stressful environment and work loads with extremely tight deadlines.

Not much good to say here, the pay is more than any other escort position I've found, the commute was decent and you got paid for your on call days when there was no work to be done

Cons

COMMUNICATION! These people have no idea how to communicate with their employees, when you work 80 hours and only get paid for 8 you shouldn't have to make 5 different phone calls to get it fixed. In the event of inclement weather there should be predefined procedures on if employees do or don't report to work. Again communicate with your employees, if the contract gets bought out by another company don't wait until the last minute to tell your employees you lost the contract and to start looking for new jobs, we shouldn't have to be contacted by the company that won the contract to be informed that unless we sign on with them then we're of a job
