Pros

I worked at Cooper for 5 years and I honestly can't say enough kind words about them. Everyone was great, even the "big wigs". I left due to personal reasons, but I definitely miss my cooper family.

Cons

Some of the downsides are it takes a very long time to get hired on permanently. It also gets very hot inside during the summer. The area I worked in never had a functioning air conditioner and we weren't allowed to have a fan either so some summer days were quite miserable.

The benefits were great, the pay was ok, but you had to almost kill yourself for a decent looking check.

Cons

They would work you 7 days a week 12 hours shifts and wouldn't care about your personal life what so ever.

Cooper Standard is a leader in their field(s) and it's all driven by the talented engineers that are willing to teach and groom young professionals.

Cons

The biggest con is that it is solely an automotive supplier like many other Michigan based companies. The automotive way of doing business is not for everyone.
