Pros

401k option is pretty good. Vacation time for employees that have been there for a while. There is a lot of good people working at Coorstek.

Cons

There is no promotion for current employees. They consistently hire new employees instead of giving current ones a good career path to advance. Most of the time the new employees are paid more than longtime employees and more often than not the new hires can't handle the job or the environment. The new benefit package is horribly expensive if you actually go to the doctor. I could go on and on.....way too many cons.

Pay was decent and great benefits.

Cons

Management works from home a lot. When they are at home they are hard to reach or will not answer questions. Poor training and unrealistic expectations. Management will throw you under the bus to save themselves. If you ask questions, numerous times they will give the wrong answer and then tell you later you should have asked questions or the mistake will be counted against you. Not a team environment. Management does not want to develope employees. Tends to be a lot of finger pointing instead of working together to benefit the company.

Management takes values of organization very seriously and encourages all to do the same. Superior product offering and worldwide manufacturing. Goal of making the world a better place for future generations. Encouragement of advanced training. Hire top-notch people. Provides excellent benefits including multiple medical plans, 6% 401K match and 100% vesting at start.

Cons

Frequent changes in strategy and structure can sometimes lead to confusion when not well communicated. Structure sometimes ambiguous.
