Pros

Great company to work for. However the department I was in, was a new venture for Copart. This company holds auctions all over the world for vehicles. They are best known for insurance salvage vehicles. They also get clear title vehicles and even some clean classic cars. You must be a licensed dealer or get one to broker the deal for you. They charge a $25 one time membership fee and require a deposit to bid.

Cons

They dipped into trying to acquire salvage cars from Hurricane Katrina. They had a call center built to bring in more business for COPART. This department was very unorganized and expectations was unrealistic. Management was more concerned with numbers.

Copart Response

In mid-2013 the Company did acquire a business which included a call center and relocated call center services to the new facility resulting in the consolidation of a number of small, satellite call centers. Employees of the affected centers were offered the opportunity to continue their career with Copart either at the newly acquired facility and were invited to apply for any openings across the company for which they were interested in being considered. Unfortunately not all employees in the affected call centers were able or willing to relocate or pursue a different role within the organization. In situations where layoffs take place we make every effort to place interested employees into open roles.

Pros

There are none, little vacation (can't take ANY vacation for the first year), no perks, bad health insurance (actually had to PAY for a dental cleaning, never experienced this before) and no respect from co-workers.

Cons

They violate state and federal laws with their business practices. They don't even have a human being you can speak to if you call in on the main number.
