Pros

Free tea, milk water and sugar

Cons

They lie to you at the interview about training and earning potential. The 'training' is they pay you 45 pound a day and then 'supplement' in by 50 a day. They then say you will only need 2 or very occasionally 3 weeks. Then you go into the 'car bonus' scheme. This is a fixed rate per car you pick up and depending upon the zone it is located in, At then end of the training they take the 50 a day supplement back out of your wages, In reality they keep you on ' training' for several months. So do the maths; You are working for 45 a day until you go into the scheme, It could easily take you 10-12hours to find the cars get them on the transporter and then get them off. Management and yard staff go at 5pm on the dot. A total rip off firm do not go near it. When i left they docked me £1000 for supplement money.I regret the day i set foot in the place.

Pros

Good introduction to the salvage auction business. Good introduction to Organizational Behavior Dysfunction and the "Peter Principle." Good introduction to the ESL element of the Independent Automobile Dealers.

Cons

on the local level, there is zero support for the Dealer Services division. Petty jealousies flourish in the customer service department. Appears that they compete with Walmart & Sears, for GED holders in the local labor pools. If you like to answer phone and argue with paying customers in front of live customers, then you can be a CSR for Copart. Drivers, with citizenship, all complain about the wages and hours. Dealer Services Auction vehicles are constantly harvested for parts by employees and other alleged "dealers" that make up their buyer base.
