Pros

relaxed work environment and you can be yourself!!! The people that you work with are down to earth

Cons

Have a plan B because they can fire you at any time for no reason and you will not get paid any commission after the day you are let go. Very hard to find parking and public transportation is about a 15-20 walk unless you wait for the bus that comes twice in an hour. When I started it was about 60 sales people by the time I left they were down to 11.

Pros

Good people, decent salaries. Depending upon what part of the company you're in, there is interesting and innovative work to be had.

Cons

Copart has lost its compassion for staff, especially those with experience and years of service, Diversity in the Technology organization is a joke.

Reading your post I am certainly sorry to hear that you feel the company has lost its compassion for staff and would like to learn more about why you feel this way. Please give me a call or send me an email so we can connect and let's talk. As a company we do value our people and when I hear that there is a feeling that contradicts this value, we want to be sure to act. With regard to the diversity of our Tech organization, I could not disagree more--looking at our demographics we have an extremely diverse group creating and managing our technology engine here at Copart, with a true mix of gender, national origin, age, professional background and experience level. In fact, it is our diversity that makes us stronger. We celebrate this diversity with employee events centered around our various ethnic and social groups and invite everyone to participate. We feel that gaining a better understanding of the various cultures that make up our employee base helps us grow together and work as a stronger team to help drive our expansion globally. Please feel free to stop over to the HR Department any time to discuss your concerns--my door is always open--or drop me an email at rory.seidens@copart.com if you'd rather I contact you directly. Thanks for taking the time to post. Rory Seidens VP - Human Resources - Copart
