Pros

I have been working at copart in Britain for a few years now. Lorry Driver Wages good if you work hard. all ppe supplied

Cons

No back up from management Looked down upon do not feel part of a team Told you are not allowed any personal belongings with you in truck, I'm sorry but when you live in a truck 5 days a week and an average of 2-3 nights shouldn't you be allowed some creature comforts. Drivers names go up for employee of the month, manager takes them down. All managers and yard staff in at 8am and away at 5pm drivers left with no back up before or after these times. I also think its quite sad that you only see reply s from US H,R If anything goes wrong you have to prove it wasn't your fault, No support at all, If you have a problem YOU have no one to turn to.

Pros

Your co-workers. The people you meet, excluding management. Learning from fellow co workers.....a real team

Cons

Unreliable employment, feel like your job is always on the line. Horrible leads, false hope of moving to auction department. A lot of down sizing, here today and gone tomorrow.

Thanks for taking time to post your review. I noticed that you commented that you were given false hopes about moving to another department and would like to learn more about that as we openly encourage our employees to apply for openings within the company in order to progress their career. In some cases, the employee is not ready for the new role due to skill needs; in other cases, there may be the issues that need to resolved before making a move. In any case, as an employee you should know what those reasons are and how you can overcome them as future opportunities arise. Please feel free to reach out to Suzanne Celentano, your Regional HR Manager, to discuss your concerns in greater detail. Being in a sales role as you are, there is indeed pressure to perform, however it is important to us as a Company that our employees have the tools and support to do their jobs and be successful. I hope you'll reach out to Suzanne. Her email address is suzanne.celentano@copart.com. Rory Seidens, SPHR Vice President, Human Resources Copart, Inc.

Pros

You can work at this place until they hall you by ambulance from over work and no pay. They've bought all the competition and have a complete monopoly on the salvage auto auction business.

Cons

Low pay, brutal hours. Copart could careless about their employees and work life balance. Work life balance was a joke - all work and NO life. Employees work like dogs and managers are morons which revolve out the door quickly - 23 GM's in 6 months. Then they bring in a new idiot. Manager's also do their best to rip off and miss lead their customers when possible. Many customer lost thousands of dollars buying cars that were not advertise truthfully.

I was very disappointed to read your review and can sense you are very frustrated with the work environment. We certainly do not want any of our employees to work themselves to the breaking point and generally our Yard employees enjoy a Monday - Friday, 8 - 5 schedule. At times, extra work is required but this is the exception rather than the rule. Your comments about Managers "doing their best to rip off and mislead" is very concerning and I strongly encourage you to contact any member of my team or our internal security manager, David Scaff, to discuss concerns you have to this regard. We take our business--and the business of our customers--very seriously and have very strict guidelines for how we expect our employees to conduct themselves (and how we, as a Company, will conduct ourselves). You can reach David Scaff via email at david.scaff@copart.com; you may also contact me directly by phone at 972-391-5185 or email at rory.seidens@copart.com. Rory S.
