Thanks for your response. The Company is committed to providing our employees with a workplace free of harassment, where they can come to work in safe environment and be treated fairly and recognized for their contributions to our success. While we do not have assigned HR staff at each location, we do entrust our Managers and Office Managers at each location to uphold our standards and expectations with regard to employment policies and practices. In addition, I have a team of regional HR Managers who oversee the HR functions at our locations and they are available to assist employees and managers with HR-related needs, concerns, or suggestions. Since you chose not to identify which location you are working from, I cannot provide you with contact information for your specific Regional HR Manager, however I would welcome your email to my Copart address and I will be happy to make introductions. From the training side of things, please note that we have an extensive training system as well as on-the-job training resources available to employees. If you have not been introduced to these tools please talk to your Manager and they will assist you. Copart and our leadership team believe in the open-door philosophy and if you or your coworkers have issues, concerns, or ideas for improving the business we have a number of avenues for you to be heard. Besides talking with your manager, the Regional Managers (including our Regional HR Managers) are available by phone or email; you can call or email me at any time; we have an employee hotline you can use to raise concerns; we have the innovation forum on our intranet site for you to suggest solutions to things you feel are in need of improvement. The point is, we want to hear from our employees when things are going well AND when things are not perceived as going well. This gives us an opportunity to actively work through issues and get better and eliminates the blind spots that can be created when a manager chooses not to respond. So, that said, I invite you to contact me or any member of my staff so we can see what we can do to help change your opinion of our workplace. Pros

Challenging work environment at the Yards and at Corporate office. Hard working respectful environment. Executive leadership has risen through the ranks and has a clear understanding of the business. Unique business model. Copart is poised for US and international growth and is financially solid.

Cons

Corporate office personnel are very scared after a series of layoffs scaling back certain business areas. Credible Fear of more reductions in force is now sickening the corporate office work productivity and the physical health of some employees. Some leadership seem to be embracing a "when they're down kick 'em harder" mentality to do more work with less personnel.

Thanks for your post. I'd like to take a moment to address the concerns you noted in your "cons" section as there has been a great deal of change in the Corporate office over the past year or so, many of which were a result of a change in number of technology projects that resulted in some layoffs. The decision to reduce staff is not one we take lightly and it is not our intent to needlessly lose talented employees. During the layoffs we made every effort to assist the impacted employees in finding other opportunities. We also made sure that we communicated with the employees who were not displaced to make sure everyone understood that we were looking to protect jobs. I would encourage any employee who is concerned about the security of their role with Copart to come and see me and discuss their concerns. We most certainly do not want our people to be worried to the point of making themselves ill if they are concerned about their future with the company. We have--and will continue to--communicate openly with our employees about the business and it is our intent to keep highly talented people employed so long as the business need exists to do so. The best advice I can give you is to not sit and worry but rather seek out the facts and continue to be an active player on the team. I hope you'll stop by my office or give me or any of the Leadership Team a call so we can discuss any concerns you have. When all is said and done, we'll prove that we intend to keep and grow top talent. Rory Seidens VP-Human Resources

Pros

Mon-Fri 8-5, Large cubicles at corporate offices, however their are yard positions available that I am not to familiar with.

Cons

Fairly frugal in the compensation, and raises. Insurance is too expensive. Terrible communications between departments.
