Pros

Diversity of work, always. I was able to work in all aspects of Corning during the time I was in the fiber optic manufacturing facility. Never a boring moment.

Cons

Crushes (burn out/lay off) the people that works for it. While building the Concord plant most of the engineers were displaced from the project because of poor planning. They were given options to go to other Corning facilities or leave the company. Many engineers left because of lack of trust and burnout.

Pros

friendly place to work - nice company and town

Cons

Worked 1000s of overtime hours at Corning's Diesel Plant. Company gave no extra compensation or time off. Gave a big 1.8% raise per year for insane amounts of overtime. Plant management is really bad.
