Pros

Corning has good company perks.

Cons

Community is very small - everyone lives and works in the same town. There are a lot of unwritten rules.

Pros

Acquired by Corning in December '14. Small company with lots of "hands-off" support from large company. Great benefits & support from all areas of the company.

Cons

Prototyping & quick-turn work takes place in Fremont, CA. Large scale manufacturing is done by partner contract manufacturing in Asia. This can possibly cause delays, but is easily managed.

Pros

excellent benefits, good salary for the area, advancement very possible. you can write your own paycheck if you want to work as many over time hours as you want

Cons

work is boring, must work more overtime than wanted. Management is lacking in intelligence. Therefore overtime is required to make up for their mistakes and moral is very low. advancement based on seniority rather then performance.
