Corning is in a small town in upper state of New York. It is kind of far from big cities.

Pros

Ability to grow within a chosen area or diversify while remaining with the same company. Small town, and at the same time, global company. Opportunity to travel as needed.

Cons

It is what you make it. As with all companies, not knowing how to navigate corporate culture and relying only on merit will not work. Again, that is not unique to Corning Inc.

Pros

Pay is decent. Lower Level management is very good. Always striving for innovation. Great dental insurance.

Cons

Is poorly managed. No sick time. Health benefits are really bad and getting much worse. Recognition is nonexistent. Always trying to take more from employees rather than giving. Very stressful environment.
