Pros

Our whole department was remote so that allowed for a lot of flexibility with schedules and some work/life balance.

Cons

So many cons. Tons of turnover. I had 8 bosses in the 5 years I worked there and was about to have my 9th when I left. The executive leadership is horrible. They need to stop hiring management consultants to be senior leaders and hire people with actual people-management experience. There is no opportunity for advancement. Even though I knew more about marketing and the workings of the company and our department than my most recent boss, I could never get noticed or promoted. I was doing at least two jobs instead of the one I was hired to do. Leadership has no plans or goals to work toward. Every day is like the wild, wild, west and is determined by whatever "hot potato" project leadership has on their minds that day. Nothing to work toward. You constantly feel like your wheels are spinning but you're getting nowhere. No sense of accomplishment as nothing is ever done and priorities keep changing. Also, the workload is insane! I would often work way into the night to juggle all the projects I had going on, just to make minimal progress due to changing and overwhelming priorities. Again, none of this hard work was ever acknowledged or appreciated by leadership and never led to a promotion for all of my diligent hard work and loyalty.

Thank you for sharing your detailed experience as a Marketing Campaign and Operations Manager and your years of dedication to Corpay. Your contributions have been invaluable, and we truly regret to hear that your time with us was filled with so many challenges. We appreciate the honesty and thoughtfulness in your feedback. While it's encouraging to know that the flexibility of remote work offers some work-life balance, the issues you've raised regarding leadership, high turnover, lack of advancement, and overwhelming workloads are deeply concerning. Having eight managers in five years and navigating shifting priorities without clear goals is far from the structured and supportive environment we aim to provide. Your comments about leadership lacking people-management experience and the absence of a clear vision highlight areas where we need to make significant improvements. We want to assure you that we are committed to these changes. Employees should feel empowered, supported, and recognized for their hard work, not overlooked or burdened with unclear priorities and unreasonable expectations. The lack of acknowledgment and opportunities for growth you experienced is unacceptable, and we are committed to addressing these issues. We deeply appreciate your advice about hiring experienced leaders who prioritize people management and fostering a transparent vision. Your insights are invaluable, and we are committed to implementing these changes. We also take seriously the need for leadership to advocate for their teams, ensuring that workloads are manageable and that employees clearly understand how their work contributes to broader goals. We deeply appreciate your contributions and the time you spent at Corpay. Your dedication and hard work have been invaluable to us. Feedback like yours is crucial as we strive to make meaningful changes and improve the experiences of our employees. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

A Great Place?

Pros

Corpay is a great place to work in general. The pay, 401k, PTO, ERG programs, and work-life balance are amazing. If you work for a department with great leadership, you will thrive and feel like you can retire at the company.

Cons

For the GRC department, think twice about working here if you are not a man. This department is textbook misogynistic. The women are responsible for ALL of the work and are blamed if anything goes “wrong,” while mediocre men in leadership are rewarded for stealing ideas and creating toxic work environments. You will be isolated and targeted for being a hard worker and not engaging or participating in the harmful work culture. The company will continue to have material weaknesses and failed audits with this type of culture.

Thank you for sharing your experience as a Sr. GRC Analyst and your contributions during your time at Corpay. We’re glad to hear that you found value in the company’s pay, 401(k), PTO, ERG programs, and work-life balance and that positive leadership in certain departments created an environment where employees could thrive. However, we are deeply concerned by the serious issues you’ve raised regarding the culture within the GRC department. Misogyny, toxic work environments, and the undervaluing of hard-working team members have no place at Corpay or in any workplace. We take these concerns very seriously and recognize the urgency of addressing them. No employee should feel isolated, targeted, or dismissed due to their gender or for advocating for a healthy work culture. Your point about the risks this kind of culture poses—both to employee well-being and to the company’s broader success, is well taken. We understand that a toxic work environment can have far-reaching impacts beyond morale. Your advice about promoting leaders based on merit, vision, and people-management skills rather than tenure is critical. Strong leadership should uplift teams, foster inclusion, and ensure every employee feels valued and respected. We are committed to using feedback like yours to drive meaningful changes and improve leadership standards across the company. We sincerely appreciate your honesty and the time you spent at Corpay. Your insights will help us work toward creating a more supportive, equitable, and inclusive environment. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

It's money? That's really the only pro.

Cons

- High school culture / backstabbing - Everyone talks badly about one another to climb the ladder / will throw you under the bus - Not collaborative - Leadership is non-existent - Not forward thinking - Lazy employees - but most of all, abusive behavior by managers. I have never experienced such chaos in a workplace in my life.

Your suggestions regarding regular check-ins and greater recognition of dedicated employees are invaluable. We recognize that prioritizing employee well-being is crucial, as a positive workplace culture directly influences individual success and our overall performance as a company. While your experience falls short of our aspirations for a healthy workplace, we genuinely appreciate your willingness to share your perspective.
