Hello, Cortlandian! We’re beyond thrilled to hear that you love our training programs as much as we do. By investing in our associates through training and professional development, we help each Cortlandian hone their skills and find their career path while delivering best-in-class service to our residents – but we don’t stop there! As we continue to expand and grow, one of our goals for 2018 is to become more efficient in our company-wide communication. Please remember that we practice an open-door communication policy, so if you have ideas on what we could do better, don’t hesitate to reach out to your manager or Director of Operations. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts! #HaveTheCourageToBeBetter

Pros

I am constantly challenged to be the best version of myself, and to always look for ways to improve my surroundings.

Cons

Health insurance is very poor, compared to other companies of this size. It is not a plan that looks out for the associate. I don’t believe this health plan embodies the vision and mission statement of the company. Health insurance is the only reason for the 3 star rating. Otherwise, this would have been a 5.

Hello there, Cortlandian! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are so glad that you’re always challenged to be your best self! In fact, that idea makes up one of our core values: Have the Courage to be Better. That value influenced our decision to find the best health plan for our associates – and we picked a plan that has great health care options for both individuals and families. I am a little concerned that you’re not fully aware of how our healthcare benefits work, so I would love to take the time to explain this benefit. We’re the only company in the industry that pays 100% of health insurance premium for all of our associates (Cortland also pays 100% of your dental and vision coverage). Which means if you are a single person, the cost to have health insurance is $0 (to add your spouse, children, or entire family the cost ranges from $156-$289 per pay period). 100% of preventative healthcare is covered, and as of April 2018, Cortland contributes $80 a month our associates’ health savings account. You also have access to the Health Concierge to help connect you to the proper doctors, hospitals, and treatment centers. Another invaluable resource is telemedicine, which allows you to be diagnosed over the phone or via FaceTime – saving you a trip to urgent care or the ER. As you can see, there are a ton of benefits that come along with being a Cortland associate. We encourage you to take a close look at the details of the program since it’s fairly new. Feel free to reach out to me, Priscila Mattingly, directly at priscila.mattingly@cortlandpartners.com or to any member Talent Resources at talentresources@cortlandpartners.com with any questions you may have relating to your benefits. We want you to have all of the information you need to be the best version of yourself.

Pros

Great health benefits and PTO. Company trainings are fun for the most part, with free lunch.

Cons

I absolutely HATE working 8-10 straight days before getting a day off. The work/life balance is non-existent and I feel like I’m cold-calling, which makes me uncomfortable.
