I cannot put the feeling of being there into words. High performers turn into low performers. Career order takers end up owning the discussion. The profit margin and bottom line are ALL that matter. You as an individual do not matter to the company at large. HR initiatives are window dressing because employees dread going to work. It is a miracle that the company is still solvent, though once some big customers walk out the door that is likely to change.
