Pros
Had very high hopes for this position, but nothing proved to be true
Cons
I was let go after two months for not getting up to speed. My first week there was a whirlwind of back to back meetings where I had no time in between to process or understand what was being discussed. The next week was the same. The third and fourth weeks, everyone was off for the holidays, and I was working ALONE. After that, they were shocked that I wasn't more proficient at what I was expected to do. I had zero training on systems, zero training on processes and zero helpful feedback. I was given a ton of documents to read and was supposed to make sense of it on my own. Absolutely no work/life balance. I did not see my kids for 8 weeks. I worked 18 hour days, 7 days a week. I was finally starting to understand how it all worked and I was let go. I have been in the professional workforce for two decades and have never been let go. I should have known when they told me I was the third person in that role and the third person to struggle.
