      Management is Missing in Action

      Pros

      Work/life balance and freedom to do your work are bright spots Decent medical and PTO benefits as well.

      Cons

      Management involvement and caring are non-existant. We have had mutltiple RIFs and outsourcing initiatives that have left those of us behind with no sense of stability or worth at all. This company cares NOTHING about its employees - we are just a number on an HR spreadsheet and will get cut for the next money saving opportunity.

      Pros

      Work flexibility. Great colleagues. Good potential for the future.

      Cons

      Company is comprised of a significant number of acquisitions over the years and so it's operations have been disjointed in the past. The organization realizes this and is now making significant changes to overcome this but change is difficult.

      Pros

      The pay was good. Co-workers were great. Direct supervisors were fair and knowledgeable, and supportive of a work-life balance. All the basic tools and updated software were provided.

      Cons

      Upper management was non-communicative and resolutely ivory-tower in its management style. Training was non-existent. Although I did not need much training, long term employees were hopelessly invested in their archaic business processes. The work did not flow. Meetings were unproductive 90% of the time. Conference calls with remote VPs and directors always lacked focus.
