Smaller hospital setting, made it easy to quickly familarize with ancillary staff Close to home (short drive) Newer facility

Cons

Poor communication between departments (ED to Med/Surge, Med/Surge to ICU, etc) Pharmacy with limited hours, hard to access after hours and weekends Large population of drug seeking patients

Pros

There are many departments and hospitals to transfer around in.

Cons

Hyper-political, poorly managed. Incorrect paychecks, told on 2 different occasions that "it doesn't matter". Wouldn't hire enough help in most of the departments, worked 7-8 hours most days without a break, (factory workers usually fare better than this). FB a no-no, but chg. nurse stayed on it all the time, while we couldn't get a break. Worker bees are just a commodity, with no value to them and easily replaced. Save yourself the headache and skip this employer!!

Pros

I love my coworkers. We are like a big dysfunctional family. We help each other out and can rely on one another.

Cons

Management is focused on making money, not keeping patients and staff safe. They would rather fire someone who has been working there 10 years and hire on a new person for a lower pay rate.
