Pros
Covenant Children's is a pretty laid back work environment - particularly for a hospital; co-workers are almost all great and many have stayed 10+ years - which should speak for itself; it's still small enough that you know just about everybody after a while; management has an open door policy and is accessible
Cons
Pay isn't always appropriate; benefits could use some work (retirement match + really high $500 ED copay); being part of a system means Children's gets few resources, the building is very outdated and Children's is viewed as less from a system level - receiving hand me down equipment and furniture in the past; not a huge depth of pediatric specialists (though this is improving); not a ton of career opportunities - extremely tight management structure with little room for moving into management
